RRS Masquerade Ball
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Rho Rho Sigma Chapter - Bakersfield, CA, recently hosted its inaugral Masquerade Ball in support of Men's Mental Health Awareness. This inspiring event brought together community leaders, supporters, and advocates to raise awareness of the mental health challenges facing men, particularly African American men, while reinforcing the importance of brotherhood, compassion, and community support.
Centered on the powerful message of “Removing the Mask,” the event encouraged men to break the silence surrounding mental health, embrace vulnerability, seek assistance when needed, and support one another without fear of judgment or stigma. Beyond raising awareness, the chapter remains committed to investing in the future by providing academic scholarships to deserving young men throughout the Bakersfield community.
Through generous sponsorships, donations, and community participation, Rho Rho Sigma Chapter continues to advance its mission of breaking the stigma associated with seeking mental health support. With the involvement of several dedicated community leaders, the Masquerade Ball was an incredible demonstration of unity, purpose, and service.
