Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., captured the 2026 LA Frat Games Softball Championship on Sunday, August 23, defeating Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in a thrilling championship game. The victory secured back-to-back titles for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. after winning the championship in 2025.
Led by team captain Immediate past Regional Director, Estd. Bro. Sidney Jackson Jr., the squad continued a proud tradition of brotherhood, competition, and community service. Special recognition goes to Estd. Bro. Jackson for his decades of dedication and leadership to the team, league, and community.
Founded in 1976, the LA Frat Games celebrated its 50th season this summer. The annual event brings together members of the Divine Nine for fellowship, friendly competition, and service, including the collection of more than 1,000 backpacks annually for inner-city students.
Bro. Reggie Flenory summed up the season: “It was a great season and a tremendous display of brotherhood, competition, and camaraderie—a beautiful opportunity for Black people from all walks of life to come together, fellowship, and enjoy a day at the ballpark.”
