Walter M. Clarke Institute
Registration is now officially open for the Walter M. Clarke Institute in Nashville, TN! Named in honor of Walter M. Clarke, who served as Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.’s first and to date, only collegiate member to ascend to the office of International President, serving from 1921 to 1922. This two-day immersive educational experience is designed to enhance the personal, professional and leadership skills of collegiate members. The institute will provide training and development for chapter leaders, collegiate advisors and Sigma Brothers aspiring to reach higher levels of involvement within the Fraternity.
No longer just a single event, the weekend now includes the Shield Institute and the Billings Entrepreneurship Summit.
Sigma High Education Leadership Development Symposium (S.Hi.E.L.D.) is a strategic leadership development convening designed to cultivate the next generation of college and university presidents within Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. This educational track leverages the expertise of current Sigma higher education presidents, provides mentorship and best practice transfer to aspiring executive leaders and expands Sigma’s existing college president pipeline beyond the current cohort of ten.
The R.A. Billings Entrepreneurship Summit is a one-day, high powered immersive experience designed to provide Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity members and public attendees with the knowledge and strategic tools to transform a start-up vision into reality. Headlined by some of the nation’s most successful entrepreneurs, the summit will focus on the essential skills required in market analysis, financial projection, operational planning, business plans, and networking.
