Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Theta Alpha Sigma Chapter, led by Chapter President Bro. Lace Westbrook, continued its long-standing tradition of service this holiday season through its signature outreach initiative, Toys for Watts. For more than 20 years, the event has brought hope and holiday joy to the Watts community, and this year was no exception as hundreds of children were served.
Partnering with the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA), the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Jordan Downs Center, and El Nido Family Centers, the chapter provided toys to more than 500 children in the Jordan Downs community—demonstrating the power of collaboration and community engagement.
Toys for Watts remains rooted in its mission to help families experience the spirit of Christmas, even during challenging times. As Jordan Downs undergoes a major revitalization transforming the area into a modern, mixed-income community, the chapter remains committed to supporting residents throughout this transition.
Theta Alpha Sigma Chapter continues to exemplify the principles of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., demonstrating the impact that conscious men can make when they are committed to service. Sincere appreciation is extended to our Brothers, Sorors, and Sigma Beta Club members whose dedication made this event possible. Even in challenging times, Our Cause Speeds on Its Way!
