Bro. Amari Jackson

Hupernikao is a Greek word meaning to be more than a conqueror (Romans 8:31-39). Bro. Amari Jackson strives to be Hupernikao in all aspects of his day to day life. He believes there is no point to do anything in life if you are not giving it 100%.

Amari is a native of Southern California being primarily brought up in the Murrieta/Temecula area. He attended Vista Murrieta High School where he played varsity level basketball and was the club president of the Young Gentlemen Leadership Club. In his senior year of high school, he was also a member of the San Diego Links Achievers Program. When making a decision on where to attend college, he wanted to choose an institution close to home, so he decided upon San Diego State University (SDSU). Looking to have brotherly bonds like those of his teams and organizations in high school, Bro. Jackson chose to look into fraternity life on his campus.

He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with career aspirations of becoming a user experience designer. Amari is a very hardworker who loves to meet a challenge head on. In no way, shape, or form does this brother back down nor run away from adversity.

Bro. Jackson was initiated into Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Lambda Iota Chapter at the San Diego State University on Sunday, March 22, 2020. Amari currently serves as President of his chapter and the National Pan-Hellenic Council at San Diego State University and was elected as Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Western Region 2nd Vice Director during the 66th Regional Conference in San Diego, CA on Friday, May 27th, 2022.
